Hampshire tax accountant Lashmars has announced its continued support for a range of good causes in and around the New Forest area.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution in Lymington, along with Oakhaven Hospice, will be two major local beneficiaries of the Hampshire tax accountant’s charitable giving this year.
In addition, Sailability, a charity run by the Royal Yachting Association, which helps disabled people take part in sailing events will receive support too - but that’s not all...
Also, Artsway – a contemporary arts centre delivering a range of contemporary visual arts, along with professional opportunities for artists - will get a piece of the action too.
The move underlines how many local business people are pitching in to help their local community as the government slashes public services during the fragile economic recovery.
Boss Peter Lashmar said it was important to contribute to the community by supporting good causes in the local area.
“There is a perception in society that accountants make a lot of money and this is mostly true, relatively speaking, so it is important to give something back by investing in our local community for the greater good.” Said Peter Lashmar, who runs the firm from offices in Lymington.
“As Hampshire tax accountants we naturally want to lend our support to good causes in the local area because we all ultimately benefit when individuals and businesses act charitably.” He added.
